Today Was A Good Day

I'm not going to go into a long Ice Cubean diatribe about why today was a good day, but I will not leave you in such suspense as to leave you unknowing.  I have completed one long standing objective and another not so long standing one.

I finally finished reading More Information Than You Require by famous fake trivialist (and so I hear MINOR TELEVISION PERSONALITY) John Hodgman.  I had started reading this what seems like a long time ago.  It was most humorous and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys things that are entertaining.  Of course I would suggest you start with his first book The Areas of My Expertise on account of the other book being a direct continuation of this one.  For readers who do not possess the proper level of deadpan to read the books properly, may I suggest the audiobooks?

The other thing that made today a good day was the television program Sons of Anarchy.  I found this show interesting and impressive.  Too many shows hammer you over the head with their intentions.  While not necessarily the most subtle of shows, it did a good job of unfolding a plot while showing the characters' intentions and motivations through the lens of the events.  I happened upon the show on accident and luckily caught the first episode, and now that I have seen the entire first season I am very much excited to see the second which starts in less than a month.
